Latest Hull and East Riding planning decisions and applications
- An application for the change of use of a house in Hull to become a children’s home has been approved by Hull City Council. The end-terraced house, will also have staff accommodation. The application also included the erection of a single-storey rear extension to the property.
- Hull City Council’s planning committee have approved plans for a 125m wind turbine to be built at the Port of Hull. The turbine is one of five that Associated British Ports (ABP) plan to construct around the Humber. ABP recently also secured planning permission for two turbines in Immingham.
- Hull City Council has approved plans for the former BHS building in the city centre to be demolished. The site of the building is set to be redeveloped as a part of the Albion Square development. A specialist frame will be installed in order to protect the Grade-II listed Three Ships mural during the demolition of the current building and the construction of its replacement.
- East Riding Council has received plans for new padel courts in Beverley. The application seeks permission to convert two of the existing tennis courts at Norwood Recreation Park to three covered padel courts. Plans suggest the current tennis courts are “underused” and are not available to be used all year, unlike the proposed padel courts.
