It looks like a straight shootout between Wrexham and the Tigers for the final play-off spot
Josh Windass says full focus has to be on the Red Dragons taking care of their own business, and not worrying about what Hull City do.
City’s 2-2 draw at Leicester City on Tuesday night, coupled with Wrexham’s 1-0 win at relegation-threatened Oxford United, saw the Red Dragons leapfrog the East Yorkshire club into the final play-off spot.
Wrexham now sit sixth with two games left to play, but Sergej Jakirovic’s side play first this weekend with a visit to Charlton Athletic, while Windass and his colleagues must wait until Sunday lunchtime when they go to champions Coventry City.

“That puts us sixth now, but obviously it means nothing,” said the attacking midfielder, who has netted five times in his last six games. We’ve got two games left and we’ve got to try to cement ourselves in there.
“It’s irrelevant what Hull do at the minute. If we drop points, then obviously it kills ourselves, so we’re not looking at what they’re doing.
“We’ve just got to try to win the last two games and be as strong as possible. Every little boy’s dream is to get promoted to the Premier League. Every player in there is fighting for the same thing, the manager’s fighting for the same thing.
“That’s what we’ve come here to do, and there’s a long way to go for that to happen yet, so I can’t really be talking about whether we get to the Premier League. I just want to try and get into the play-offs first.”
To do that, they will hope to get a result at the CBS Arena, where Frank Lampard’s Sky Blues will be keen to sign off in style ahead of their trophy lift after the game.
“Obviously, Coventry are confident, maybe a bit drunk on Saturday, so hopefully we can go there and put in a performance,” added Windass.
