The player ratings as Hull KR booked their place in the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup over York Knights.
Hull KR cruised past York Knights to book their place in the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup with a commanding 48-10 victory at Sewell Group Craven Park.
Here are our ratings.
Jack Broadbent – 8: A solid afternoon at full-back for the 25-year-old, who had a big hand in good attacking plays – including his own score in the first half.
Tom Davies – 8: His run without a try continues, but the winger does so much of the tough stuff that his head coach and team-mates appreciate. York loanee Myles Harrison got the better of him however for a consolation try in the second 40.
Peta Hiku – 7: Some big defensive moments and easing pressure with penalties.
Oliver Gildart – 7: A couple of quality touches, but didn’t see too much of the ball in good attacking position.
Joe Burgess: 8: Another one who didn’t see too much in attack, but a superb finish on the full-time hooter to make it 48-10.
Mikey Lewis – 8: Showed his magic flair when spotting no full-back at home to chip and chase for himself, grounding the ball with inches to spare. The livewire half-back also converted three goals from three attempts.
Tyrone May – 9: Influential in the victory, with a hat-trick on the day. The playmaker involved in a lot of good things Hull KR did in the quarter-final triumph, and was named the unofficial player of the match inside the ground.
Sauaso Sue – 8: Set a strong defensive tone, and crashed over for a try in his opening 23 minute stint. Had a second chalked off by the video referee for double movement.
Jez Litten – 9: A disguised pass for Sue’s try, before a well-timed drop off saw Whitbread crash over. The hooker was named the official player of the match and was lively throughout on both sides of the ball.
Tom Amone – 8: Big opening stint for the powerhouse prop, only given a rest after 36 minutes. Laid the platform alongside Sue.
Rhyse Martin – 7: Made a good return from a broken foot, including four goals from five attempts with kicking duties shared.
James Batchelor – 7: He’ll be disappointed that Xavier Va’a crashed through for York’s opener, but elsewhere in defence he applied good pressure.
Dean Hadley – 7: Replacing Elliot Minchella at loose forward and mixed his game up well enough in the first half.
Sam Luckley – 7: The prop made a good impact from the interchange bench on the afternoon.
Jai Whitbread – 8: Immediately injected energy from the bench. Made a mistake early in a set, but made up for it by crashing over and scoring for a 22-6 lead.
Jack Brown – 6: Didn’t see much action on the field, with the game already won by the time of his introduction.
Karl Lawton – 7: Came on from the interchange bench to replace Hadley at loose forward and did a decent job.
