The latest episode of the 1904 Club podcast is out now

Hull City arrived at the final international break of a pulsating season with a convincing 3-1 win over struggling Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, and they now have a quiet spell to prepare for the final run-in.

Sergej Jakirovic’s men notched up a 20th league win of the season, and 10th at the MKM Stadium, to keep themselves inside the top six with a three-point cushion to the chasing pack.

When City return next week, they’ll face just seven games of the season to secure either automatic promotion or a place inside the Championship play-offs.

Two of those will come over Easter weekend with Jakirovic’s side playing Oxford United on Good Friday, before welcoming leaders Coventry City to the MKM Stadium on Easter Monday evening.

City’s promotion chances were a key topic in the latest episode of the 1904 Club podcast with Baz, Burnsy, Kathryn Batte and David Prutton, as well as the latest injury news, which sees Regan Slater ruled out for the next few weeks, joining an ever-growing list of absentees.

Another big discussion point in the extended episode surrounded ticket prices, with Sheffield United coming under heavy criticism for their pricing structure for the game against City at Bramall Lane next month.
