Latest Hull and East Riding planning decisions and applications

- An application to turn a former Hull care home into a 15-bed HMO has been deferred by Hull City Council’s planning committee. The site, on Durham Street in East Hull, used to house the Durham Care Home. Submitted plans say the property could be used to house vulnerable mothers and their children, and pregnant women. The application will be revisited after security and safeguarding concerns were raised by a member of the committee.
- East Riding Council has received plans for the erection of a 4-bed house to be used by an agricultural worker at Marl Farm, Holme-on-Spalding-Moor. Plan say the scale of the property would be “modest and reflective of a typical agricultural farmhouse or cottage associated with a working farmstead.”
- Plans for new roadside services off the A63 in Brough have been submitted to East Riding Council. The site would include a petrol station, drive-thru coffee shop, and a car wash. The site would be on land to the South of the A63 Petuaria Way, and near the East Riding Community Foundation Centre on Common Lane.
