New public notices across Hull and East Yorkshire
- The Deep, Hull: From March 31, a Hull City Council order will temporarily prevent pedestrians from using Public Right of Way Number 11, which fronts The Deep. The closure seeks to ensure the safety of the public and workers during maintenance, including the resealing of the glazing roof at the “nose” of the building, sealing works to the 4th-floor viewing area, and safety inspections of the cladding. The works are expected to take place between March 31 and September 30. Read more.
- Selby Street area, Hull: A new traffic order has been made to improve safety and amenity in the Selby Street area. Double yellow lines will be extended at the junction of Selby Street and Glasgow Street. Additionally, a new 20mph zone has been introduced throughout the Selby Street area. These changes officially came into operation on March 9. Read more.
- The Mile, Pocklington: East Riding Council has issued a temporary traffic regulation order for The Mile in Pocklington to allow for significant roadworks. The closure will be carried out in three phases throughout the Spring and Summer to ensure public safety: Phase 1: From March 2 to May 1, the road will be closed from The Mile Roundabout to the junction with Meltonby Road. Phase 2: From May 4 to July 3, the closure moves to the section between Meltonby Road and Swineridge Lane, including part of Millers Lane. Phase 3: Between July 20 and August 10, works will affect the area from The Mile Roundabout to Chapmangate/Bridge Street, including part of Kirkland Street. Read more.
- Dog and Duck Square, Flamborough: East Riding Council has announced plans to temporarily close a section of Dog and Duck Square in Flamborough for essential service works. The closure will affect the stretch from 25 metres East of the junction with Tower Street to the junction with Allison Lane, encompassing property numbers 8 to 13. Read more.
