Adult social care teams support thousands of people across the East Riding through care services, tailored support and by working closely with partners in the sector

  1. Over the past few months, East Riding Council have been gathering feedback on services through a “Have Your Say” survey, which gave residents the chance to share their opinions and influence how services are designed and delivered. The survey was followed closely by focus groups made up of a selection of those who completed the survey.
  2. It will be used to shape upcoming adult social care strategies, ensuring services meet local needs now and in the years to come. In order to strengthen the response from the public, the team will be hosting a series of in-person consultation events, which can be attended by anyone who would like to take part.
  3. The consultation events will provide a public forum for discussion on important adult social care matters such as service delivery and developments to come in the future. The events also allow for transparency and accountability, with feedback and next steps provided to all those who attend.
  4. Upcoming consultation events across the East Riding will take place in Beverley, Goole, Hornsea, Driffield, Withernsea, Haltemprice and Bridlington. These will be held between Monday and Friday, March 23 and 27.
  5. Councillor Jonathan Owen, cabinet member for adult social care and health at East Riding Council, said: ‘’The in-person consultation events will help to shape the future of adult social care in the East Riding. ’This project is key to gathering insights on future priorities, transforming the delivery of services.’’
  6. Attendance must be confirmed prior to arrival. To book a place and find out dates, times and locations of the events, visit eryc.link/asc-events or call 01482 393939.
