Jeremy says he has filmed evidence his father-in-law visits in spirit form
An East Yorkshire man claims to have filmed evidence of his wife’s dearly missed parents in their home using “ghost-hunting equipment”. He has even written a book about the extraordinary things he claims to have witnessed.
Jeremy Spillane and his wife, Caroline, from Goole, work as school bus drivers. They had been planning to visit a ‘spirit medium’ before Roger, Caroline’s father, died.
“The most incredible reading of a medium with Roger was literally three weeks after he died,” said Jeremy. “We went to see a medium called Stephen Holbrook, who comes to this area. He is from Yorkshire, but he goes all over the country and all over the world.
“There was an event of his, and we were thinking of going anyway, and then Roger died. I was saying to Caroline, ‘We ought to go anyway because I think your dad might show up.'”
At first, Caroline didn’t want to go. But Jeremy claimed the medium came through with an “amazing message that was definitely Roger”.
Jeremy has since purchased an SLS (Structured Light Sensor) camera which he claims shows his father-in-law, and occasionally his mother-in-law, as stick figures superimposed over live footage.
When Hull Live visited, Jeremy offered a demonstration. Pointing to the moving diagram on the screen, Jeremy said: “That’s Roger, and we know it is Roger.”
He added: “This ghost-hunting equipment, if you are not careful you can get terrible things happen apparently. I was scared of it from that point of view because as a young child I used tio get nightmares and all the rest of it.”
Jeremy said as a precaution, he decided to only use the equipment to look for signs of Roger, rather than ghosts in general. He said Roger shows other signs of his presence, such as “flashing the lights”.
He said they have also been visted by “three fantastic mediums” who each feature in a chapter of his book. “They’ve all done different things, but amazing things,” he said.
“They have all confirmed that Roger is here with us, or Joan sometimes. Joan doesn’t show up as much as a stick figure, but she does if it is something important and that’s exactly how Joan was in life.”
Jeremy said he has found the experience of filming the stick figures “uplifting”. He said what Roger and Joan were doing is “confirming there is life after death”.
He added: “Once you leave the physical body, you carry on. And they [Joan and Roger] have got just the same personality as they had, which is just totally incredible.”
Jeremy’s book, Joan and Roger Alive in The Afterlife, is due to be published later this year. Updates can be found on the website.
