‘We love welcoming generations of families through our doors’

An East Yorkshire garden centre is determined to bring back the joyful wonder of Christmas we experienced as children with its festive initiative for 2026. Family-owned Coletta & Tyson has launched its 12 Weekends of Christmas to help make the run-up to the Christmas season one that is full of anticipation and surprises.

Faris Sadiq, garden centre manager at Coletta & Tyson, said: “We really wanted Christmas 2026 to be about bringing the magic back. We want people to walk through our doors and feel that sense of excitement you remember from Christmas as a child.

“Our team have worked exceptionally hard to create beautiful displays, surprises and little moments of wonder throughout the garden centre leading up to Christmas, so there really is something around every corner.” The independent business at Woodmansey, near Beverley, held a Magic of Christmas launch weekend on October 3 and 4 when visitors were invited to experience the new Christmas displays for the first time, to see Santa in their midst and enjoy festive treats.

Faris said: “As an independent, family-owned garden centre, Christmas is incredibly special to us. We love welcoming generations of families through our doors, and our 12 Weekends of Christmas are all about giving people a reason to come together, make memories and enjoy the build-up to the big day.”
