Sorba Thomas will miss Wales’ next Nations League game against Norway in Oslo next month after collecting a second booking in successive games.
The Hull City winger started a third high-pressure contest in the space of a few days on Sunday night as Wales were beaten 1-0 by Denmark in Cardiff, but was booked for handball with 10 minutes left.
That caution comes on the back of a late card in the impressive 2-1 win over Norway on Friday, where Thomas crafted the opening goal for ex-City youngster Dan James.
Wales’ third loss in their four outings so far in the Nations League leaves them third in Group 4, with next month’s trip to the Norwegian capital to come, followed by a home outing with runaway leaders Portugal in Cardiff to round off the group stages.

Before the next round of games in the Nations League, City have five matches in the Premier League, starting with Sunday’s home meeting with unbeaten Everton, ending with a trip to face champions Arsenal at the Emirates.
Elsewhere, despite fashioning 21 attempts, Germany were unable to find a way past in-form City stopper Konstantinos Tzolakis as Greece held Jurgen Klopp’s men to a goalless draw in Thessaloniki. Tzolakis’ men are second in Group 2, only off the top spot by virtue of the fact that the Netherlands have scored more. Midfielder Christos Mouzakitis came off the bench for the final 20-odd minutes.
John Egan was again an unused substitute for the Republic of Ireland as their controversial second game of a double-header with Israel behind closed doors in Serbia ended 1-1. In Ireland’s four games during this international window, Egan has only come off the bench in two games, both in the final stages of a defeat away to Kosovo and a 2-2 draw at home to Austria.
A host of other City players are set to be in action over the next 24 hours, including the likes of Oli McBurnie, Elliot Stroud, Semi Ajayi and Mo Belloumi, and the Tigers will hope they come through unscathed ahead of that huge meeting with Everton at the MKM Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
