There are five players named from the two Hull clubs.

France have named their extended 40-man train-on squad ahead of the Rugby League World Cup this autumn, with Hull FC and Hull KR players both included.

Rovers duo Arthur Mourgue and Jordan Dezaria are both named, with Hull representation coming in Hugo Salabio, Arthur Romano, and surprisingly so, Amir Bourouh.

Of course, all three players will play elsewhere in 2027 but are contracted at the Black and Whites until the end of the 2026 season.

As for Bourouh, the Catalans bound hooker qualifies for France through his family heritage, while his replacement at Hull, Alrix Da Costa, signed on a two-year deal, is also named.

Huddersfield Giants also see two players, Mathieu Cozza and Tanguy Zenon, named while York Knights have one representation in Justin Sangare.

Elsewhere, the rest of the France squad is made up of Catalans Dragons (13) and Toulouse Olympique (11) players, including Super League Dream Team forward Mathieu Jussaume.

Former Super League half-back Theo Fages, who currently plays for French club Pia Donkeys, is named, as is Catalans’ all-time try scorer Fouad Yaha, who plys his trade for Albi.

There are also two Australian-based players in Lattrell Siegwalt and Enzo Griffier included in the squad, which will be trimmed down ahead of the tournament.
