Lee Kershaw has put himself in the shop window after a strong display in Hull KR‘s defeat to Wigan Warriors, according to head coach Willie Peters.
The 27-year-old made his first Super League appearance for Hull KR on the wing in the 46-0 defeat at the Brick Community Stadium, running for more metres than any of his team-mates with 164 in the Round 25 contest. Only Wigan winger Liam Marshall, who ran for 217 metres, made more in the fixture under tricky-weather conditions.
Kershaw remains without a deal for 2027, but Peters believes he has done himself no harm in his bid to secure another Super League contract.
The former Wakefield Trinity and London Broncos outside-back joined Hull KR for the 2025 season and has since spent time on loan at Castleford Tigers and Huddersfield Giants. He also missed a lengthy period after suffering an ACL injury in June 2025.
Peters was impressed by what he saw from Kershaw against Matt Peet’s outfit, who have now won their last 13 Super League matches, and believes his performance could attract interest from elsewhere.
“I thought he was very good, outstanding with the ball,” Peters said.
“He showed that he’s still a Super League player.
“If it’s not at our club, and I’m not sure (if it will be), but he’s put himself out there now (to earn a Super League deal).”
Kershaw has made 81 top-flight appearances since making a try-scoring Super League debut for Wakefield in 2019 against Leeds Rhinos, in a 26-24 victory.
“Absolutely, he did (put himself in the shop window),” Peters added.
“If clubs need an outside-back, a winger, then I’d be watching that game and seeing what he did to a champion side.”
