The Robins lost three players to injury on Saturday

Hull KR picked up three fresh injury concerns on Saturday night in their loss to Toulouse Olympique.

The Robins were without Tyrone May and Jai Whitbread due to injury against the French side, while Oliver Gildart wasn’t deemed fit enough to be involved as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

However, KR’s injury issues got worse when Dean Hadley left the field in the first half with a groin problem. The back-rower could be seen going through the motions at half-time on the field in order to test the injury, but he couldn’t return to the action and he now has to be rated as a doubt for Thursday’s game at Wigan Warriors.

Ryan Hampshire certainly will not be involved with Peters confirming that the playmaker had fractured his wrist in the second half, while James Batchelor left the action with a hamstring injury, which looks set to rule him out for a period of time, too.

“It was second half at the back end of the game, I just saw him hold it,” Peters said on Hampshire’s injury. “The physio just told me it’s broken.

“Batch has done his hammy apparently so I don’t know, three weeks possibly? I’m not sure, it’s hard to say at the moment. Dean I need to see exactly what it is. There was a possibility of him going back on but he felt it and it’s never a good sign if Dean doesn’t go back.”

With Mikey Lewis banned for the next two games, Peters has a decision to make in the halves now going into Thursday’s game. However, the head coach was more concerned by the lack of forward options at his disposal, with Tevita Pangai Jr suspended for four games now, while Jordan Dezaria is missing due to injury, too.

“We’re hoping to get Tyrone back next week,” Peters added. “It’s probably the pack is the area, in the spine we’ll have enough but it’s the pack that we need to look at now and see what we do.”
