Hull City play their final friendly of the summer against French Ligue 1 side Nice at the MKM Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as they finalise their preparations for the new campaign.

It’s a first home outing since that famous Wembley victory in the play-off final back in May, and a first chance for City’s fans to get a look at the club’s new signings.

Sergej Jakirovic’s men have less than a week before the big Premier League kick-off against Manchester United in front of the television cameras, and the City boss will be hoping for a positive end to their pre-season preparations.

Last Saturday’s 2-0 loss in Germany against Eintracht Frankfurt was their first friendly loss under the Croatian, but more importantly, it saw the Tigers lose two players to injury, so his key priority will be to come through unscathed.

We’ll have all the build-up to the 3pm kick-off, followed by all the match action and reaction from here in East Yorkshire, so stay tuned.

Goooooooooooood afternoon

We’re back at the MKM Stadium to see Hull City in action for the first time since that play-off semi-final draw with Millwall back in early May. Plenty to come between now and kick-off at 3pm, so stay tuned.
