Hull City are working on having a host of deals wrapped up in time for Saturday’s friendly with Nice at the MKM Stadium, the final one of the summer.
Winger Mohamed Ali-Cho, defenders Lucas Herrington and Nobel Mendy, along with Leon Bailey, are all expected to conclude their moves to the MKM Stadium in the coming days, in what would be a frantic week at the club’s Cottingham training ground. Ali-Cho was left out of Nice’s squad for their friendly with Italian side Cagliari on Saturday night, as his move to East Yorkshire inches ever closer.
Elliot Stroud’s move from Sweden is expected to be announced in the next 24 hours, with him signing a five-year contract in East Yorkshire, with the player set to make his debut this weekend against the French Ligue 1 side.
City‘s need is growing, and was once again highlighted in Frankfurt on Saturday, when the bulk of their substitutes bench was made up of Under-18s and Under-21s owing to the growing injury list, which includes Jack Butland and Charlie Hughes.

The Tigers are targeting another defender in the hope of progressing that in the coming days, and they’ll also now target a goalkeeper following the desperate news of Butland’s injury, which could keep him sidelined until the New Year.
