Pride in Hull 2026’s line up of events continued well into the evening as crowds gathered for the main stage afterparty on Saturday.
Steps star Claire Richards brought nostalgic 00s hits like Stomp and Tragedy, showing she’s still got the voice that brought her fame and made her a firm favourite in the early 2000s. Joining her on the main stage set list were the Cheeky Girls, who have also become a cultural icon for the LGBTQ+ community. They shot to fame in 2002 for their audition for Popstars: The Rivals with their original song, Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum).
Pride in Hull celebrated its 25th year this year with a parade through the city which began at 11am. Banners, unicorns, rainbows and sparkles were the theme of the day. Hundreds of people took part and more lined the streets to watch the parade. You can see photos from the parade here.
Taking place across Hull city centre and beyond on Saturday, Pride in Hull 2026 also featured performances from nostalgic pop group Fast Food Rockers. The main stage, in Zebedee’s Yard, also hosted Ru Paul’s Drag Race winner (Season 5) Ginger Johnson and sets from Coco, Miss Fanny, Sheila Diamond, Kerry Ellis, Xtina Live and Zara.
