The atmosphere in every Fan Zone across the Humber region and beyond will no doubt be electric tonight (Wednesday, July15) and at one of Hull’s newest bars, it will be no exception.

Molly Mangan’s, in Newland Avenue, turned its upstairs venue into a Guinness Fan Zone for the duration of the World Cup. Football fans have been enjoying the newly transformed space – and England’s performance on the world football stage – and tonight it is the Three Lions’ chance to keep those “it’s coming home” dreams afloat as they take on Argentina in the second semi-final of the tournament.

Supporters packed out the venue ready for the 8pm kick-off, and all eyes will be glued to the action showing on several giant 100-inch TVs, for the rest of the evening. Previous World Cup match days have also brought DJs, entertainment, food and, of course, Guinness to help recreate the atmosphere of major fan parks.

Jack Mangan, co-owner of Molly Mangan’s, said the Guinness Fan Zone has been taking excitement to “another level” in the HU5 postcode, with a “real party atmosphere”. Let’s hope that as Hull Live’s Donna Clifford captures scenes in the bar that the celebrations are in full swing, come the final whistle, and that England are ready to roar to victory in Sunday’s final against Spain, already through after defeating France.
