A 30-piece orchestra will play popular tracks from films at pop-up gigs across Hull.
Called “Now That’s What I Call an Orchestra”, the free, hour-long concerts will be staged in parks on the city’s estates on Saturday and Sunday.
Organiser Ellie Irwin, from the community arts project Back to Ours, said the musicians were “amazing volunteers” who wanted to “share some orchestral joy”.
“There’s something for everyone, come along and bring a picnic,” she added.
The concerts are returning to Hull after two years.
“We did it last in summer 2024 and it was just incredible,” Irwin said.
“It’s just nice to see a totally different demographic enjoying orchestral music.”
The brass and wind orchestra will play songs from soundtracks including Captain America and The Super Mario Bros Movie.
No booking is required and people can just turn up on the day.
