Hull FC produced a shocking second half performance on the way to a 20-16 defeat to York Knights on Thursday night. Here are the ratings.
Logan Moy – Safe under the high ball again and was a running threat in broken play. However, there were also one on two errors on the ball and some pass selections he might want to have back. 4
Harvey Barron – Beaten by David Nofoaluma for York’s first try. Saw plenty of the ball on a tough night. 4
Tom Briscoe – Scored a try and carried well at times but there were also errors in his game and penalties given away. 4
Zak Hardaker – Carried hard and made some in roads in the second half. One of few to have some urgency in his play. 5
Lewis Martin – Got a lot of attention. One or two errors on a tough night. 4
Jake Arthur – Effective in Hull’s 20 minute stint before half time but offered little outside of that period. 4
Aidan Sezer – Scored Hull’s first try with a fine long range effort but struggled to create outside of that as Hull became desperate after the break. 4
Herman Ese’ese – The prop had a try disallowed at the death for double movement. Summed up Hull’s night. 4
Amir Bourouh – Picked his chances to run and tried to get Hull ticking. Played through the pain barrier before coming off in the second half. 5
Harvie Hill – In the wars with a head clash. Kept going but to no avail. 4
Joe Batchelor – In support to score a first-half try. Worked hard. One that can hold his head up. 5
Ethan O’Neill – Saw a lot of the ball and made some inroads into the York defence. Held up in the first half. 5
James Bell – Saw a lot of the ball but wasn’t in sync with the halves for long enough periods. 4
Cade Cust – Tried to add energy to Hull but couldn’t get the roll on the side needed. 4
Yusuf Aydin – Back in the side after six games out to suspension. Ran hard and helped swing the game back in the first half. 5
Hugo Salabio – Added some punch and aggression off the bench. He’s gone well in recent weeks. 5
Lennon Clark – Came on just before the hour mark and did little wrong. Tried to link with Sezer and hit some lines. 5
