Agents are looking for firms to take up more than 230,000 sqft of space at Humber Enterprise Park

Renewed efforts are under way to find an occupier for the former BAE fighter jet factory at Brough. Property agents Knight Frank have been appointed by the site’s owners, Citivale and Westcore, to market the 230,000 sq ft of newly vacant space at the Humber Enterprise Park, on the outskirts of Hull.
The firm has been appointed to work alongside Hull-based PHH Commercial at the 79-acre site on the banks of the Humber. Space made available at the park includes the 167,486 sqft, single storey steel frame warehouse and factory building once housed production of parts for the Hawk jet, the aircraft used by the Red Arrows.
It has most recently been used as a storage and distribution facility having seen a number of small extensions to create additional offices and ancillary staff welfare. There is also a 63,026 sqft unit that provides additional warehouse and manufacturing space and benefits from a secure yard and parking area.
BAE still has a presence at the Brough site, though production there ended in 2020, marking the end of more than 100 years of aircraft building there. The factory had been used to upgrade RAF Phantom jets in the 1970s and 80s before Harrier jump jets and then Hawks were assembled there.
Humber Enterprise Park was set up in 2014, and the two properties now on the market have recently undergone a multimillion-pound facelift. Other park occupiers include Cablescan, Dearing Plastics, Morson Praxis, Europa Crown, Purex, and Cranswick PLC.
