Hull City continue to work on bringing in their first outfield signing of the summer ahead of their Premier League return, but it’s understood that the club have not made an approach for Nigerian international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
The former Leicester City FA Cup winner is now playing in the Turkish Super Lig with Besiktas, and had been linked with a move back to England.
Both City and Manchester United were claimed to have opened talks with the 29-year-old ball-winning midfield general, who played 25 times in Turkey’s top flight last term, according to reports in Turkey.

Ndidi only joined Besiktas last summer in a deal thought to be worth around £8m following the Foxes’ relegation from the top flight, having played 303 appearances for the East Midlands club in all competitions
Hull Live understands, however, talks have not begun with the Istanbul giants or Ndidi, and a move back to England for the experienced performer is not a live target for the Tigers at this stage.
The Tigers have so far added Jack Butland to their ranks following the departure of Ivor Pandur to Rangers, while Akin Famewo has also moved on, and Kasey Palmer is set to join Luton Town. Kyle Joseph’s move from the MKM Stadium to Middlesbrough has collapsed, and as it stands, it will not be happening.
City remain in talks with French outfit Toulouse over a move for Brazilian striker Emersonn, and have a host of other options as they look to bring in more new recruits before heading off to Slovenia for the start of their pre-season tour which includes a trip to Istanbul.
