A young gun impressed despite Hull FC’s defeat at Warrington.

Hull FC showed spirit but lacked the quality to defeat Warrington Wolves on Friday night, losing 12-4 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Here are the ratings.
Logan Moy – A threat with his carries and also tough as the last line of defence. Could have maybe iced some attacking moments but overall a good contribution. 6
Harvey Barron – Scored the game’s first try with an acrobatic finish out wide. Heavily involved and got stuck in albeit with a couple of errors. 5
Zak Hardaker – Passed for Barron to score his try. Fronted up well, as he always does, before leaving the field late in the first half with a head knock. He subsequently failed his HIA and will be out of next week’s game against Huddersfield. 5
Lloyd Kemp – The teenager was in the left centre spot again. Tenacious. Gritty. Plenty of bite in his performance and got stuck in. Also a second half break or two. An impressive account. 7
Tom Briscoe – Worked hard and impressed in the back field. An unlucky error leading to Warrington’s first try. 5
Jake Arthur – Took on the kicking responsibility. Ran the ball and made couple of breaks but summed up Hull’s night in that they couldn’t finish them off. 5
Aidan Sezer – Back in the side with a point to prove. Got his captains challenges right and was a threat running the ball. Just needs to make those moments more regular. That goes for the full team. 6
Jeremiah Mata’utia – Started the game again and carried with some venom. 5
Amir Bourouh – Looked to run the ball and did well he did, but also made couple of basic errors with forward passes and sin binned for a professional foul late on. 4
Harvie Hill – Defended tough and carried hard. Tried to put himself about. 5
Joe Batchelor – A leader for Hull on their right edge. Massive effort in defence. 6
Ethan O’Neill – An energetic account. Carried strong. Moved to centre after Hardaker’s head knock. Never backed down. 5
Cade Cust – Started at loose-forward and got some width into Hull’s play. Also a threat with his running game. Left the field after an hour. 6
Herman Ese’ese – Off the bench for his first appearance in nine months. Immediately got involved with his carries and added some punch to the Hull pack. 6
Matty Laidlaw – Solid in his stint and got stuck in. 5
Hugo Salabio – Carried strong upon his introduction. Went well. 6
Will Kirby – Into the action early and held his own. 5
