Hull FC take on Leigh Leopards this Friday night.
Hull FC are back on the road this Friday night, heading over the Pennines to take on Leigh Leopards at Leigh Sports Village.
It’s a desperate situation for the Black and Whites, who are without 15 players for the Super League clash to injury and suspensions. Nonetheless, they crack on as usual, with potential debuts to come for academy produced talent.
As far as a result goes, it looks like a tall order for Hull against an opponent with their big guns back and who are finding some form, but stranger things have happened.
As always, we’ll be there every step of the way, with team news, build up, live action, and post-match reaction to come. Stay tuned.
Hull FC have completed a deal to sign Leigh Leopards full-back Bailey Hodgson for the 2027 season and beyond.

The Leigh head coach on tonight’s game and Hull FC:
There’ll be positional changes and with that, as a coach and with my experiences, it can upset the routine of the team, but it can also bring hope and enthusiasm. A little bit of youth comes into the team, and there can be a lot of energy, and like I said, enthusiasm. It’s got to be on our terms, how this game starts and the intensity of it during the first 40 and the second 40. I feel that the outcome of this game will be dictated by us. That’s really important.
The Hull FC interim coach on tonight’s game and the side’s reality:
We’ve been in these situations before. It’s not unprecedented for us. It’s also something which I’ve been speaking about for probably the last three or four weeks: the culture that we’ve been creating at the club over the last 18 months, and that is to keep competing, make yourselves hard to beat, and defend with a lot of grit and tenacity. I’ll be looking for the team to do that again on Friday night. There are aspects of our performance that we need to get right; defensively we will need to be really good in and around the ruck. We need to be really switched on and then what we’ve got to do is make the best of the opportunities that we will get. We’ll need to kick the ball a little bit better. That’s something we have really focused on from the Bradford game. I’m really hopeful that we’ll be putting in a far better performance.
Save travels to all heading over the Pennines tonight.
There’s been a crash on the M62 and big diversions in West Yorkshire.
