Nine days of adrenalin, family rides and fun kids’ attractions
Funfair attractions will fill Hull’s East Park for the late spring bank holiday weekend and remaining school holidays. The organiser of World of Fun is promising the fair will offer amazing value with the return of the wristband event.
World of Fun will feature thrilling rides, family rides and kids’ attractions for nine days, from Saturday, May 23 to Sunday, May 31, opening every day from noon to 8pm. Best of all, says organiser Albert Evans, of World of Fun, at the security-controlled site, the rides and attractions can all be sampled for up to three hours for £13.99, meaning all the family can keep sampling their favourite attractions time after time.
Albert said: “We are so excited to bring our popular wristband fair back to Hull. We wanted to bring a special fair with some new attractions and great rides, and we believe we have done just that.
“There’s something for everyone this year, including lots of kids’ rides all at a great price.” There will be food and games as well, but it will no doubt be the rides that prove the biggest attraction, especially as guests can enjoy spin after hair-raising spin on the Vertigo, which soars 40m skywards offering long-range views across the city.
They can also sample the suspended seated Miami ride or, if they dare to enter, there is also the Haunted House attraction. Also making a comeback is the popular Atmosphere Creator Waltzer, a major feature at Hull Fair, as well as lots of family rides and children’s attractions such as the Dodgems, Twister, and a Fun House.
The fair is open daily with wristbands on sale every hour, on the hour. As well as wristbands, anyone who would like to sample a couple of rides can also purchase individual ride tokens.
From East Park, World of Fun will move to the west of the city, to Pickering Park, for four days, opening from Thursday to Sunday, June 4 to 7. This will also be a wristband funfair.
