Celebrity guest speaker and chosen charity for 2026 will be revealed

The official launch event for the much‑anticipated Women of Achievement Awards 2026 will take place on Thursday, May 21, at the Mercure Hotel, Willerby. Organised by Women in Business Hull, the biennial awards shine a spotlight on inspirational women across Hull and East Yorkshire who are making a real impact in business, leadership, industry and the charitable sector.

The free launch event will give guests a first look at what is planned for this year’s awards, including the reveal of the celebrity guest speaker and the chosen charity for 2026. Previous guest speakers have included high‑profile names such as Janet Street‑Porter, Gloria Hunniford, Esther Rantzen, Ruby Wax and Katie Piper.

Rachel Miskin, chair of Women in Business Hull, said: “The Women of Achievement Awards is one of the most uplifting and inspiring events in the region’s business calendar and we’re thrilled to officially launch the 2026 awards. These awards recognise the outstanding women who are driving change, leading organisations, supporting communities and making a real difference across Hull and East Yorkshire.

“We’re also excited to be announcing another fantastic guest speaker alongside our chosen charity. The launch event is always a brilliant opportunity for people to come together, hear more about the awards and celebrate the incredible talent we have in our region.”

Attendees will be able to get more information about each award category and how to put themselves – or someone they know – forward. They will also hear directly from the judging panel on exactly what they look for in an award‑winning nominee.

Previous award winners and sponsors will also be at the launch to share the impact the awards have had on both their personal and professional journeys. While tickets are free, demand for the launch event is expected to be high, so early booking is strongly encouraged. They are available via Eventbrite.

The Women of Achievement Awards ceremony will take place on Friday, November 13. It is expected to once again attract a sell‑out audience from across the region’s business community.
