  1. East Riding Council has issued a notice explaining its intention to temporarily close part of Main Street in Bishop Wilton. From May 18, the road will be closed south bound between number 22 and the junction with Beckside Road. The closure, which is due to sewer lining works, is expected to last five days. Access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles, and pedestrians. Read more.
  2. Hull City Council has issued a notice relating to a planning application. The application seeks permission for the demolition of certain existing buildings and to begin preparation works at the site of the upcoming East Bank Urban Village. The project is set to transform a large part of the River Hull’s eastern bank. Plans for the first phase of the project were recently submitted to the council. Read more.
  3. East Riding Council has also issued a notice relating to a planning application it has received. Plans have been submitted which seek permission for a self store building and four units to be built at Killingwoldgraves Lane near Beverley. Proposals would form part of the wider Beverley Gateway scheme which is set to include a new Starbucks drive-thru. Read more.
  4. An East Riding Council notice explains that vehicles will not be able to proceed down part of part of Gowthorpe Lane, Gowthorpe for seven hours on June 2. The part of the road between its junction with Willow Tree Farm access road westbound to the entrance to Ash Tree Lodge is set to be affected. The work is to allow for tree trimming/felling to achieve vegetation clearance from the overhead electricity supply.
