The 46-year-old man was in collision with a purple BMW on Dansom Lane South

A cyclist has tragically died following a collision in Hull on Friday. Paul Regan was taken to hospital but sadly died from injuries he suffered in the incident on Dansom Lane South.

Humberside Police said: “It is reported at around 7.40am, the driver of a purple BMW and a cyclist were involved in a collision. The cyclist, a 46-year-old man, who has been named by his family as Paul Regan from Hull, was transported to hospital for treatment to life threatening injuries, where, sadly, he has since died.

“Paul’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers at this time. If anyone witnessed the collision, has any dashcam or CCTV footage that may assist officers with ongoing enquiries, please contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 70 of 8 May.”
