The Hull KR prop requires a specialist check on another injury.

Willie Peters has revealed that international prop Jordan Dezaria requires further checks on an eye socket issue after being ruled out of this week’s Super League clash against Castleford Tigers.

The French forward will miss Round 10 after failing a head injury assessment in the win over Bradford Bulls and could face a longer spell on the sidelines following the knock sustained at Odsal.

Dezaria, 29, made his Hull KR debut against Toulouse Olympique, with his appearance against Bradford marking only his second outing for the reigning champions following his off-season move from Catalans Dragons.

“Jordan’s got an eye socket issue, so he’s got to see the specialist,” head coach Peters confirmed.

“At this stage, he’ll be out for a few weeks.”

Meanwhile, the Robins are expected to welcome back key duo and left-edge partners Oliver Gildart and Joe Burgess for Thursday night’s game at Sewell Group Craven Park.

Centre Gildart missed the 48-12 victory over Bradford due to a minor ankle issue, while in-form winger Burgess was sidelined through illness.

“Joe Burgess will come back in – he was ill, and Oliver Gildart is back in the squad,” Peters continued.

“He had a bit of a troubled ankle, but he’s okay as well, so we’re looking reasonably healthy. It’s good to have those guys back in the squad.

“You can’t help the injuries that Gilly [Gildart] has had. They’re just unlucky – they’re rugby league injuries.

“He’s had a couple of major ones, but when he’s played, he’s been a really key part to our squad.

“We’re looking forward to seeing him build his game.”

Meanwhile, full-back Arthur Mourgue remains on track to return next month against Leigh Leopards, although Peters has not ruled out a possible earlier comeback in the Challenge Cup semi-final clash with Warrington Wolves.

The 26-year-old has been sidelined since the World Club Challenge, having undergone surgery on a pectoral muscle after suffering the injury in the historic win over Brisbane Broncos in February.

“It was the Leigh game we were looking at, so we’ll know a bit more next week,” Peters said. “It’s one of those injuries where you don’t want to rush it too much.

“There’s a possibility it could be next week, but at this stage, it’ll be Leigh.”
