Sergej Jakirovic has plenty to think about ahead of the Good Friday meeting with Oxford United
Paddy McNair has returned to Hull City and will not play in Tuesday night’s unwanted friendly with Wales.
The defender was part of the squad which lost a World Cup play-off in Italy last week – as did Wales who saw their summer hopes dashed in a penalty shoot-out with Bosnia & Herzegovina.
As a result the two nations will meet in Cardiff this evening – but McNair is one of four players who won’t be involved.
Manager Michael O’Neill has confirmed the quartet are McNair, goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell, defender Ruairi McConville and and midfielder Ali McCann.
McNair played the full 90 minutes in Bergamo and has made six starts in eight appearances since joining the Tigers from San Diego FC in January.

Indeed he started the last Championship game – a much-needed 3-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday – at left back and played a part in the second goal.
The reason for McNair returning to the MKM Stadium has not been specified but Sergej Jakirovic will be hoping it is nothing more than managing minutes.
The Tigers are already without Ryan Giles, Matty Jacob and Akin Famewo and saw Lewie Coyle travel back from West Brom in a protective boot, leaving Cody Drameh as the only fit, recognised full back against the Owls.
Jakirovic will provide an update in his press conference ahead of Good Friday’s trip to Oxford United.
