After a chaotic 24 hours, Hull KR delivered an emphatic performance back at home to dominate St Helens 52-10.
Here are our player ratings.
Jack Broadbent – 8: A solid, confident outing at the back, as well as winning numerous penalties from kick returns. A couple of mistakes late on, but nothing pivotal.
Tom Davies – 8: More hard work from inside his own half, eating up the metres – but all of Hull KR ’s attacking success went down the other edge.
Peta Hiku – 7: Given a rare break late on in the second half, but looked good with his limited chances with the ball.
Oliver Gildart – 8: St Helens couldn’t cope with Hull KR’s left edge all night.
Joe Burgess – 9: A hat-trick for the star winger – having opened the scoring inside two minutes after leaping the highest for a Lewis kick to the corner. Too quick and too strong for Owen Dagnall and Harry Robertson.
Mikey Lewis – 9: When Mikey Lewis is in this kind of mood, he is one of the most electrifying players in Super League – and the livewire half-back was at his very best, including three tries and three assists. He also converted eight goals from 10 attempts – 28 points in total.
Tyrone May – 8: A smart move to spot some room in St Helens’ defence, race around the ruck and break the line before finding Litten in support.
Sauaso Sue – 8: An opening 25 minute stint, setting a strong, commanding tempo.
Jez Litten – 8: His delivery from nine was perfect. He led a destructive defensive line, and won a captain’s challenge in the first half.
Tom Amone – 8: The forwards dominated the injury-hit St Helens outfit.
Dean Hadley – 7: Didn’t see too much action – but when he did, he delivered.
James Batchelor – 8: Underwent plenty of work and rewarded for his efforts with a walk in try – his first score of the season.
Elliot Minchella – 8: A solid captain’s display on both sides of the ball.
Sam Luckley – 8: A loose offload aside, which led to a successful captain’s challenge, the prop strong in the middle with plenty of carries.
Jai Whitbread – 8: Came on midway through the first half and retained the tempo set by the starting forwards, before a skilful offload to assist Lewis’ second.
Jack Brown – N/A: Only introduced late on when mistakes were creeping in. Harsh to judge.
