Willie Peters has addressed the shock Hull KR and Hull FC rumours.
Hull KR head coach Willie Peters has shut down suggestions Jack Broadbent is unhappy at the Robins following surprise transfer speculation linking him with city rivals Hull FC.
The rumours surfaced during a press conference last week when Hull FC boss John Cartwright was quizzed about a potential move for the versatile back – a link that appeared to catch everyone off guard.
Peters has now moved quickly to dismiss the talk, revealing both he and Broadbent were left stunned by the claims.
The 25-year-old is contracted at Sewell Group Craven Park until the end of the 2027 season, and played a crucial role in Hull KR ’s historic 2025 campaign – with 30 appearances and 17 tries across a range of positions.
Broadbent, who previously played for Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers in Super League, has featured 49 times in total for Rovers.
Peters explained: “It’s a question for Broady [Jack Broadbent], but I asked Jack if there was any truth in it. Naturally, you see that and you want to speak to the player, and he was pretty shocked. He wanted to find out who wrote it.
“I don’t want to speak for Jack, but it’s not true.
“Jack’s playing full-back for us at the moment and doing a really good job. I was impressed with his game at the weekend and he’s had a really positive [training] session today [Wednesday].
“You’re going to get all sorts thrown around, especially with the injuries at the moment in Super League and players being needed to fill some spots.
“But, as I say, from my conversations with him, it’s all positive.”
