
Police were sent to the Spring Bank area
A man was seen with an “axe sticking out of his pocket” in Hull. Humberside Police say an arrest has been made in connection with the incident in the Spring Bank area on Tuesday (March 17).
Witnesses reported a “big police presence” in the vicinity with a number of police vehicles as well as armed officers seen at the time. Today, a Humberside Police spokesperson said: “It is reported a man was seen in a back garden of a property in possession of a suspected axe sticking out of his pocket.
“Officers were immediately deployed and following a search of the area a man matching the description was located and subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. An axe was also recovered as part of the arrest.
“He currently remains in police custody while enquiries continue.”
