It is alleged that the man barricaded himself inside a property in an attempt to evade arrest. A police cordon has been in place at the scene and the road was closed between De Grey Street and Queens Road.
Armed police were also seen nearby this morning. Traffic reporting service Inrix said that the road has since re-opened.
