The Tigers suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at promotion rivals Ipswich Town on Tuesday night
Hull City will assess Lewie Coyle’s ankle injury which forced him off in the first half of Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat at promotion rivals Ipswich Town.
Coyle was replaced by Akin Famewo after damaging his right ankle, and was seen hobbling towards the dressing rooms at the break with ice strapped to his foot.
Boss Sergej Jakirovic is concerned that after getting an initial kick, the Tigers skipper then twisted his ankle and he will be assessed on Thursday to determine the severity of the problem ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Millwall at the MKM Stadium.

City were rocked by another major blow at Portman Road, with influential playmaker Matt Crooks collecting his 10th booking of the season, meaning he will miss the visit of Millwall and next Tuesday night’s trip to Wrexham.
Crooks was booked for a foul in the second half before being taken off by Jakirovic in what was his first start since returning from a hamstring injury.
“What worries me is injuries,” Jakirovic told Hull Live. “He (Coyle) got a kick in the right ankle, and after that, I think he twisted it. We’ll see what the damage is there.
“We lost Crooksy because of 10 yellow cards. Maybe I was stupid, maybe I can put him on the bench to get 10 yellow cards, like an injured player. I can be fined, but I see other games. I see everything. I’m too long in this, in this job, so in football. OK, it’s fair play, it’s, we must be professionals. We’ve lost him, but at least he will come back against West Brom.”
