Hull City look to have built on a superb summer transfer window with a very promising trip round the January sales

The winter transfer window has shut and Hull City have already received dividends on what was a busy month for Sergej Jakirovic, despite working under their transfer restrictions.

In all Tigers completed 13 deals, loans and permanent deals, six arrivals and six departures – many of whom left to gain experience elsewhere.

Perhaps the most eye-catching have been Yu Hirakawa, who turned in a sparkling performance on his debut off the bench against Preston, while Lewis Koumas, a loan signing from Liverpool, made light of his struggles with Birmingham City in the first half the season and scored a clinical winner at Blackburn Rovers last time out.

Jakirovic will hope for more of the same, having added a bit of Championship know-how through Kieran Dowell and Paddy McNair – and City look to turn third spot in the table into an automatic promotion place.

Here’s the complete list of the business the Tigers did last month.
