This week’s round-up of ongoing and upcoming roadworks including the Cottingham Road/Hall Road roundabout

Key roadworks in Hull this week

  1. A63 Castle Street Scheme: Ongoing major infrastructure improvements between St James Street and Market Place. Expect continued lane and road closures until May 2026.
  2. Cottingham Road/Hall Road Roundabout: Major carriageway resurfacing begins February 2 and runs until February 13. Access to Hotham Road North and Cottingham Road (both sides) from the roundabout will be closed, with temporary signals managing traffic between Hall Road and Fairfax Avenue.
  3. Anlaby Road: Gas pipe replacement continues near the junction of Anlaby Road and Calvert Lane until February 10. A full eastbound road closure remains in place on this section.
  4. Humber Dock Street & Princes Dock Street: Closures until April 30, 2026, for public realm development works.
  5. High Street & Chapel Lane: Phased road closures are in place until February 13 for mains connections. Only one road will be closed at a time, and the site will be clear on weekends.
  6. Main Road: Multi-way signals are in operation outside numbers 9 to 93 for gas pipe replacement works until February 13.
  7. National Avenue: Multi-way signals are in place near the junction with Bontoft Avenue for mains cable renewals until February 11.
  8. Scale Lane Footbridge: Investigation works continue until February 6. The bridge may close intermittently to pedestrians and cyclists, with diversions via the Millennium footbridge.
  9. Green Lane: Multi-way signals will be in place at the Toogood Street junction from February 6 to February 13 for supply disconnection.
