Key Public Notices across Hull and East Yorkshire

  1. New 20mph zone – Hull City Council: An order to introduce a new 20mph speed limit zone came into operation on January 12. The new limit applies to zone Ella Street, Nunnington Close and Sanderson Close. The order makes this area join with the existing 20mph zone in the adjacent streets in the Avenues area. Read more.
  2. Cottingham Road / Hall Road Roundabout – Hull City Council: An order will come into force on February 2 which prohibits vehicles from going along the access to Cottingham Road and Hotham Road North from the roundabout where Cottingham Road, Hall Road, Fairfax Avenue, and Hotham Road North meet. This relates to carriageway resurfacing on the site. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Read more.
  3. Kingswood waiting ban – Hull City Council: An order came into force on January 7 which prohibits vehicles from waiting at various junctions and bends on roads in the Crane Road, Bamburgh Park, and Lumley Avenue Area. The order seeks to help facilitate the flow of traffic in the area. A copy of the Order and relevant map can be viewed at the Guildhall during normal office hours at the Reception and Enquiries Office. Reference JGO/39800-1499. Read more.
  4. Beverley Road, Willerby – East Riding Council: The council has made an order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from driving above 20 mph along the A164 Beverley Road, Willerby (just past the junction to the Crematorium to just before the traffic lights at Toby Carvery). The order will come into force on February 16 and will be enforced between 9pm and 6am. The order relates to the installation of road studs within the centre of the road between the white lining. The white lining will also be renewed along this section of road. The order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by February 18. Read more.
