Businesses will showcase ‘what they do best’

Anyone interested in a career in engineering, construction or business will have chance to meet prospective employers at an event in Hull next month. Hull Training and Adult Education (HTAE) is hosting a Meet the Employer Apprenticeship open event during National Apprenticeship Week.

It will be held at HTAE’s Construction Centre, in Nursery Grove, east Hull, on Thursday, February 12, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. The free event will give attendees the opportunity to chat with local employers and discuss apprenticeship opportunities.

Cllr Linda Tock, portfolio holder for HTAE at Hull City Council, said: “Meet the Employer events are a fantastic way for people to discover more on career paths which may interest them. They are also beneficial to businesses as it gives them the opportunity to showcase what they do best.

“Meet the Employer events are always very well attended and HTAE really does a great job to facilitate these.” Confirmed businesses in attendance include Swift Group; Geo Houlton & Sons; Precision Drilling 2000; JC Services & Son; Re-Dec Painting & Decorating Services Limited; Pittaway Decorative Group Ltd; KWL; JP Developers and Hobson & Porter.
