An incredible start to ticket sales for next year’s World Club Challenge.
More than 16,000 eager supporters snapped up their tickets for next year’s World Club Challenge within just an hour of them going on sale.
Willie Peters’ 2025 treble-winning side will take on Brisbane Broncos at the MKM Stadium on Thursday, 19 February, with demand already soaring during the first 24 hours of sales to full-season members.
Tickets will go on sale to non-ticketed members on Saturday from 12pm. The next priority window opens at midday on Sunday, giving fans who complete the club’s early-access form the chance to secure their seats. Any remaining tickets will then go on general sale 24 hours later, with a sell-out crowd looking highly likely with a capacity of around 25,000.
The fixture marks a major milestone for Hull KR, who will face Australian opposition for the first time in 40 years. It will also be the first-ever World Club Challenge to be staged in Hull, with the club promising to deliver the biggest rugby league event the city has ever witnessed.
Rovers enjoyed an unprecedented 2025 season, claiming a clean sweep of trophies by securing the League Leaders’ Shield, Challenge Cup and Super League title.
Meanwhile, Michael Maguire led the Brisbane Broncos to their first NRL title in 19 years, clinching an epic 26-22 Grand Final victory over the Melbourne Storm.
Having recently toured England for the Ashes, stars such as Reece Walsh, Kotoni Staggs, Gehamat Shibasaki and Patrick Carrigan will return to the northern hemisphere next year alongside their Broncos team-mates for the highly anticipated showdown.
When the fixture was announced earlier this month, Hull KR chief executive, Paul Lakin said: “With offers from around the world to host the game, we are delighted to bring the Betfred World Club Challenge home to Hull, allowing supporters, not just from the city but the whole region and beyond, the opportunity to see the world’s two best rugby league sides go head-to-head.
“With Round One of our title defence in the Super League, and a trip to Las Vegas for the ‘Battle of Yorkshire’ a week after the Betfred World Club Challenge, February is set to be the most exciting month in the club’s illustrious history as we take the Robins to the global stage.”
