One of Europe’s largest travelling fairs is set to return once again this coming Friday (October 10). Hull Fair, which has been based at Walton Street since 1888, originally dates back to the 13th Century.
Featuring some of the most exciting thrill rides of any travelling fair as well as other family-friendly attractions, it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
To celebrate the 2025 event, we have put together some fantastic images of the numerous rides and attractions that have been enjoyed by families over the years.
Going as far back as the 1950s, all the way through to the Noughties, there’s a good chance you’ll recognise somebody or something you know in these nostalgic pics!
So whether you’re a fan of white-knuckle rides, or maybe hook-a-duck is more your speed, scroll down and enjoy these snaps taken by Hull Daily Mail photographers through the years.
