Surrounded by his loving family John sadly passed away at Hull Royal Infirmary on Wednesday 14th October 2026 aged 85 years. Reunited with his late Mum and Dad Irene and John, Much loved Brother Uncle, Great-Uncle and Great-Great-Uncle. Rest In Peace John will be forever missed. (Bob) Passed away on 18th October 2026, aged 100 years. Reunited at last with beloved Wife, Dot. Devoted Dad to Ian, Jeanette and the late Robert. Treasured Grandad and Great-Grandad to Andy, Kate, Dan, Ava, Noah and Dylan. Former engine driver for British Rail, who served 47 years on the footplate. A celebration of Robert’s life will take place on Monday 9th November at Chanterlands Crematorium (Large Chapel), Hull, at 10.30am Donations will be greatly appreciated at the service in aid of the 5305 Steam Engine Repair. Forever loved and remembered by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
