The former BBC Look North weather presenter and husband Johnny I’Anson announced the happy news tonight

Keeley Donovan has announced the birth of her second child. The Grimsby-born BBC weather presenter and husband Johnny I’Anson have welcomed baby daughter Remi to the family.

And it sounds like she is settling into family life already with big sister Scout, six. Keeley announced the news on social media tonight, apologising for ‘radio silence’ after being notably quiet on her channels over the summer.

She said: “Sorry for the radio silence but we’ve been a little busy recently….. in a baby bubble! Yes, that’s right, we’re delighted to share the news of the safe arrival of our beautiful baby girl Remi.

“It hasn’t been an easy journey but she really is our little miracle and has brought us so much happiness already. We’l share more details over the coming months but for now, we’re enjoying our new life as a family of four.”

The post was accompanied by two photos , one of baby Remi with a framed quote ‘We wished for you and our dreams came true.”

Keeley was born in Grimsby and grew up in Tetney. Her father, Terry Donovan, was a professional footballer who played for the Republic of Ireland and Aston Villa and her grandfather Don, was also a professional footballer having played for Grimsby Town, Everton and the Republic of Ireland.

She and Johnny tied the knot in 2018 at Castle Farm just outside Knaresborough. They were married by Keeley’s Look North colleague, the late Harry Gration.

The happy news of Remi’s arrival is well-deserved after a difficult few years for the much-loved presenter. In January 2023, Keeley announced the tragic news that she had suffered a miscarriage and last September, after a few months away from work she returned, explaining that she ‘had not been well’, and revealed that she was moving from her regular Friday night weather slot on Look North to North West Tonight.
