Hull Fair has led to parking changes for Sunday’s game at the MKM Stadium

Football fans attending Hull City’s clash with Everton on Sunday have been warned to allow more time for their journeys as two major car parks are out-of-action due to Hull Fair. Supporters were warned by the club that congestion is expected in the city centre this weekend and to use public transport where possible.

Walton Street and Carnegie Way car parks will be closed for Hull City ’s Premier League fixture, which kicks off at the MKM Stadium at 2pm on Sunday. Hull Fair begins on Friday, October 9 and runs through to Saturday, October 17. As always, the fair will not operate on the Sunday, but the car park closure will remain in place.

Hull City asked supporters to allow extra time when travelling to the stadium and advised them to arrive in plenty of time. The club encouraged supporters walking to and from the ground to use the Anlaby Road flyover due to expected congestion on the railway bridge footpath. It said crowd control measures would be in place.

Those attending the match were advised to use public transport where possible. The Priory Park & Ride service will be operating extra buses on the day. The club also advised disabled supporters who have subscription parking passes at Carnegie Way that that car park will also be closed on Sunday.

Both Walton Street and Carnegie Way car parks will be open for the next home match, which is against Brentford on October 25.
