Kris Welham and Brad Fash have come together to play out a testimonial derby at Craven Park
A raft of former Hull FC and Hull KR players will be in action next week for a testimonial derby celebrating Brad Fash and Kris Welham.
Fash, who was released by FC at the end of the Super League season has been celebrating all year long with the clash at Craven Park being one of the final events of his testimonial year.
Welham, on the other hand, retired at the end of the 2025 season, but he was granted a testimonial following the end of his 19-year career which started at KR in 2006.
The pair have pulled together two teams that will go head to head on Sunday, October 11, with tickets available to purchase through Hull KR’s website.
Fash has pulled in the services of five former FC teammates, with Danny Washbrook, Jack Logan, Kirk Yeaman, Marc Sneyd and Masi Matongo agreeing to play for the prop’s side and further names are still to be confirmed.
Welham has secured: Jason Netherton, Peter Fox, Scott Murrell, Ian Morrison, Liam Welham, Matty Welham, Brad Clavering, Frankie Mariano, Scott Spaven, Connor Bower, Anthony Thackeray, Kieran Dixon and Chris Charles.
Interestingly Thackeray represented Hull FC as a player but he’ll feature on Welham’s side alongside a series of ex-KR players having played with the former centre at Sheffield Eagles.
“This is going to be a really special occasion and I cannot wait to get back to Craven Park with so many former team-mates, friends and familiar faces,” Welham said.
“To have Liam and Matty involved as well makes it even more meaningful for me and my family. There are some brilliant players confirmed already, and we are looking forward to seeing supporters from both sides of the city come together and enjoy a great day.”
Brad Fash said: “Hull derbies always mean a huge amount to supporters, and this will be a brilliant opportunity to celebrate both clubs, the rivalry and some of the players who have given fans so many memories over the years.
“It is a privilege to share the occasion with Kris as part of our testimonial years. We have got some fantastic names involved, and we hope as many supporters as possible will come along, get behind the event and make it a really special afternoon.”
