Hull City have already started working in the background ahead of the January transfer window, with reports in Italy suggesting the Tigers are monitoring Frosinone winger Giorgi Kvernadze
Hull City are reportedly keeping tabs on Frosinone winger Giorgi Kvernadze ahead of a potential January move, with the Georgian tipped to become the next Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The 23-year-old has emerged as one of Serie A’s standout performers this season, playing a key role in Frosinone’s impressive start to the campaign.
The Italian side currently sit sixth in the table, with Kvernadze contributing to three of their nine league goals. His influence has been even more significant across all competitions, registering five goal involvements in just six appearances.
With interest in the Georgian international growing, City are said to be monitoring his progress closely. According to Tuttosport (via Sport Witness), the Tigers could consider making their move as early as the January transfer window.
Frosinone’s position remains unclear, although the Italian club are unlikely to entertain offers for one of their key players midway through the season. The speculation comes as Italian media have compared Kvernadze’s rise to that of Paris Saint-Germain star Kvaratskhelia.
“People often tell me I look like a little Kvaratskhelia. This comparison makes me smile but also makes me very happy.
“However, I also feel the responsibility to always do something more,” Kvernadze previously said.
Napoli are also reported to be among the clubs tracking Kvernadze’s progress, having allegedly sent a scout to watch the winger in action against Como at the weekend. The 23-year-old rewarded that interest by opening the scoring in Frosinone’s 2-0 victory over Cesc Fabregas’ side.

Tuttosport highlights another intriguing link between Kvernadze and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with both players represented by agent Mamuka Jugeli. Whether that connection proves significant remains to be seen, but Kvernadze’s rapid rise has certainly not gone unnoticed, with the Georgia international continuing to attract growing attention across Europe.
Kvernadze arrived at Frosinone from Dinamo Batumi in July 2023 on an initial loan deal that included an option to buy. His progress has been clear to see, with manager Massimiliano Alvini recently highlighting the winger’s potential and the role played by the club’s coaching staff.
“He has significant room for growth. The staff have done important work with Kvernadze,” Alvini said.
