The Big Hull Charity Firewalk will raise funds for NHS Charities on Thursday – and it’s not too late to sign up

Brave fundraisers will take off their shoes and walk across hot coals for worthy causes this week – let’s just hope they don’t get cold feet. The Big Hull Charity Firewalk will light up Hilltop Sports Park on Thursday evening giving those courageous enough a chance to push themselves out of their comfort zone in the name of raising funds.
Participants will walk barefoot across hot embers under the guidance of experienced instructors, while raising funds for NHS charities Health Stars and WISHH. The event aims to bring local people together for a memorable challenge while supporting projects that make a real difference to communities across Hull and East Yorkshire.
Anita Green, charity manager of Health Stars, said: “On behalf of the charities and Hilltop Sports and Community Trust, I’d like to thank everyone who has signed up to the event so far. Taking those steps across hot coals is a challenge, but every step will help our charities deliver essential support to local people. The family fundraiser promises to be an unforgettable evening. There are still a few places left so if you are looking to do something different, support a good cause or challenge yourself, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to your local NHS and community services.”
The fire walk will take place from 5pm to 8pm at Hilltop Sports Park, Willerby Hill, on Thursday, September 24. Health Stars and WISHH will be joined by Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University and Hilltop Sports and Community Trust for the event. Sign up by contacting one of the charities.
