Five Super League players have been charged by the Match Review Panel following the latest round of action – with no charges for Hull KR.

Mark Percival has also been cleared to finish his career on his own terms.

Percival, 32, had been sin-binned on his long-awaited return from injury against Leigh Leopards for high contact on opposition full-back David Armstrong.

The centre already had three penalty points for a Grade B charge earlier this season, meaning another three points would have triggered a one-match ban.

However, Percival has been cleared to play in what will be the final game of his career, at home to Hull KR in Super League Round 27. The five-time Super League winner announced his retirement last week.

No Super League player has been banned following the latest round, although two Championship players have received suspensions.

Swinton Lions’ Jordan Brown has been handed a three-match ban for punching, while London Broncos’ Will Jones has been referred to tribunal following a bust-up in the rearranged Championship fixture that resulted in two red cards.

Wakefield Trinity’s Isaiah Vagana has received three penalty points for a Grade B head contact offence against Warrington Wolves, taking his total to four penalty points and resulting in a fine.

His Wakefield team-mate Mike McMeeken has also been charged with Grade B dangerous contact and received three penalty points and a fine.

Huddersfield Giants’ George King, Castleford Tigers loanee Lazarus Vaalepu and Leigh’s Adam Cook have also been charged.

Cook has received three penalty points for Grade B other contrary behaviour, which could relate to the hair pull on Saints’ Tristan Sailor during Leigh’s 48-10 home victory.

Meanwhile, Hull KR pair Jez Litten and Sauaso Sue have been cleared following the challenge that left Huddersfield head coach Jim Lenihan questioning the officials’ decisions.

At the time, Lenihan believed a hip drop had led to an injury for Sam Halsall, with fears that the outside-back had suffered a broken leg.
