Jakirovic has named his City line-up for this evening’s clash with Aston Villa
Sergej Jakirovic has included four of his deadline day signings in his Hull City squad to take on Aston Villa this evening.
The Tigers have had a hectic week with six signings arriving on Tuesday and six new contracts being confirmed the night before Jakirovic saw his new contract confirmed. They would dearly love to cap the week in the right way then by picking up their third Premier League win of the season.
There’s no Ilyas Ansah or Tim Iroegbunam, who miss out on selection due to respective back and groin issues.
However, Sorba Thomas, Christos Mouzakitis, Robinio Vaz, Brooke Norton-Cuffy have all been named on the bench.
The only change to the starting XI comes in Jakirovic’s midfield with Lucas Gourna-Douath coming in to make his first Premier League start since joining over the summer. Hidemasa Morita is the man to drop out of the fold with the Japan international still finding his way back to full fitness.
That means Elliot Stroud keeps his place on the left with the back line and front three remaining unchanged.
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has kept changes to minimum, with one change being made in the backline as Tyrone Mings comes in for Pau Torres.
