The Tigers are closing in on the pair

Hull City are hopeful of being able to secure the services of Stoke City’s Sorba Thomas after upping their bid in the closing stages of the transfer window.
The Tigers have already seen bids rejected for the winger, but it is understood that the improved offer is around Stoke’s asking price of over £10 million.
As such, there is optimism that the deal can now get done, with Thomas thought to be keen on making the switch to the Premier League with the Tigers.
Stoke would need to find a replacement for the winger but City hope to be able to add the Wales international to their ranks before tomorrow night’s deadline, with his versatility set to give Sergej Jakirovic a big boost in a number of positions.
Of course, Thomas can play off the left and right wings and he has been seen off the left so far for Stoke this season. However, City would see Thomas as a wing-back option, it seems, particularly in their current 5-2-3 system, with the 27-year-old having the ability to get up and down the line.
The Tigers are expected to have a busy couple of days in the transfer window, and it is understood that Robinio Vaz is a deal being on the verge of completion.
Vaz has agreed to make the switch from Serie A giants AS Roma and City are expected to get a medical done today for the French teenager, who is very highly rated on the continent.
The centre-forward will make the move on an initial season-long deal with City having an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the Premier League season, should they wish to.
The 19-year-old only joined Roma in January and he made 14 appearances for the club last season with one goal and two assists coming along the way. He was an unused substitute last week in the Italian capital, but he’ll be making the move to the Premier League with a hunger to make his mark.
