Ese’ese’s future at Hull FC has been uncertain

Herman Ese’ese appears to have said farewell to Hull FC in a seven-word message posted on Instagram.
Ese’ese has been linked with a move away from the Black and Whites for a number of weeks with the prop’s future at the MKM Stadium being uncertain to say the least.
There had been suggestions that the forward could even leave Hull before the end of the transfer window earlier this month but that move never came about, with Leeds Rhinos one club linked with his signature.
Brad Arthur shut down that talk of a mid-season switch earlier this month by insisting Ese’ese wouldn’t be making the move to Headingley at that time, but didn’t rule out a move down the line.
FC interim boss Andy Last followed those quotes up by insisting that Ese’ese was an asset to Hull, with his contract having three more years left to run.
That hasn’t stopped talk of a potential exit though, and the prop appears to have now confirmed that he will be moving on.
In a message posted on his Instagram story, Ese’ese said that Saturday’s clash against Warrington Wolves was his last home game for the club.
“Last home game. It’s been a pleasure,” he wrote in a succinct message, which was accompanied by a love heart emoji and a black and white image of him on the MKM Stadium turf.
Ese’ese has been with the Black and Whites since the start of the 2024 season. In that time he has made 63 appearances for the club and scored 12 tries.
